10 Things Your Dog Would Tell You..
My life is likely to last 10 to 15 years. Any separation from you will be painful: remember that before you get me.
Give me time to understand what you want of me.
Place your trust in me- it is crucial to my well being.
Do not be angry at me for long, and do not lock me up as punishment.
You have your work, your entertainment, and your friends. I only have you.
Talk to me sometimes. Even if I don’t understands your words, I understand your voice when it is speaking to me.
Be aware that how ever you treat me, I will never forget.
Remember before you hit me that I have teeth that could easily hurt you, but I choose not to bite you because I love you.
Before you scold me for being uncooperative, obstinate, or lazy, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I might not be getting the right food, or I have been out too long, or my heart is getting too old and weak.
Take care of me when I get old; you too will grow old. Go with me on difficult journeys. Never say: “I cannot bear to watch” or “Let it happen in my absence.” Everything is easier for me if you are there, even my death.
:((

It hurts to hear this but is so true.

Love this. So true.

I am contributing to a fascinating IG concept #checkyourselfie that @gilfnyc has started. I have been thinking about it since it was announced and trying to figure out the best way to merge a selfie with commentary about society. Lastnight I was working a show at a venue and every time I went to utilize the facilities (to the right in this photo) I kept trying to decide if I should flush after peeing. During this CA drought crisis, my household is doing everything possible to help in the water conservation effort by taking on the attitude that if it’s yellow let it mellow, if it’s brown flush it down. But lastnight I was worried about what the next person’s response to a not flushed toilet might be… Which is ridiculous. As a community we should all be prepared to conserve the most precious resource on the planet. A human can only survive without water for THREE DAYS. The only reason we have plants that provide both sustenance and oxygen is because of water. We need to wake up and stop being so self(ie) centered. The repeating reflections were a reflection on how none of these selfies really mean a damn thing if the human race ends up wiping itself out. And unfortunately, I think it is very likely that it could happen. All of us need to get it together and check ourselves. What are you doing to conserve water? That is all.
